Review of Black Panther (2018) by Tom O — 28 Feb 2018
Solid MCU offering that does far more than entertain. No weak links in the cast: Letitia Wright is a wonderful highlight as Shuri, Chadwick Boseman continues to be awesome. I really enjoyed this film. It's a good MCU story and mixes humour and tact over its role in groundbreaking for racial equality.
Objectively, it's still a comic-book movie and won't help anyone with superhero fatigue but it's a great example of the genre and, finally, why diverse casting and story-telling has been long overdue in Hollywood.
It only raises the bar in anticipation of the Infinity Wars. More like this please.
