Review of Black Panther (2018) by Aaron C — 09 Jan 2019
Panther claws its way into my "top quarter" of Marvel movies which is no small feat. I went into the movie worried it was going to be a political talking points nightmare but I guess that was mostly just media hype.
It was good, but I feel like Marvel is pushing the limits of CG fighting toward the end.
Boseman was great but Michael B. Jordan and Latitia Wright really stole the movie for me.
Letitia's Shuri is a bit of a Mary Sue in the same way Robert Downy Jr's Tony Stark is, but it works same way it does for him because it's fun and she really grabbed the role.
Killmonger is dope. Nuff said.
