Review of Black Orpheus (1959) by Ryan H — 13 Sep 2012
Absolutely brilliant portrayal of Brazil in all of its carn(iv)al glory: the pulsating samba rhythms and gorgeous ballads, oozing sexuality, unbridled passion and hypnotic swinging hips and dancing, football in the streets, beautiful women, as well as romance, humor, tragedy, and mythology! Really makes you feel like you are there.
