If Johnny Depp wasn't too wear all the makeup then his performance wouldn't have been as good. However, overall this film is reasonably good, there were moments where it was focusing on the FBI and I would've much rather seen Bulger in scenes, whether it be him committing a crime or giving his son poor life lessons, his scenes were arguably the best.
