It's nice to not have to hate Johnny Depp in a role. The actors as a general rule do a pretty great job, actually. And I Black Mass never had me outright bored, but it's very underdeveloped, and a lot of the things you as an audience member really want to see are glossed over in seconds, instead of being focussed plot points.
