Review of Black Hawk Down (2001) by Danny R — 13 Dec 2011
This has to be one of the best looks at modern warfare on film. It is harsh and very violent, and for much of it has a frenetic pace, which all helps to put it into proper context of the realities of war.
Add to that an incredibly talented and large cast and having it based on actual events, and you have a war movie like no other.
