Review of Black Death (2010) by Dean D — 13 Mar 2011
While the summary of the film makes it sound akin to Nicholas Cage's January bomb Season of the Witch, the reality is something else entirely. A brutal and graphic (you have been warned) depiction of the perils of religious intolerance mixed with equal parts The Wicker Man (the original version) and The Navigator make this a very good movie.
Supposedly it is in theaters, but save yourself the lines, screaming children, and popcorn and queue it up with On Demand. It is worth it!
