Review of Black Death (2010) by Ryan P — 22 Apr 2014
Bleak, gory and very, very dark, it's a very interesting period piece that captures the Medieval era excellently. In the actual world of the Black Death, it's easy to imagine the world that would be produced.
Without understanding, religious fanaticism, savagery and chaos prevail. It seems to get it right, from what we know about this terrifying period of European history. Might not be for everyone, but I really enjoyed it.
Performances are great (some Game of Thrones regulars are in this) and it really hits on authenticity.
