Fairly engaging,nicely shot and well acted, but Pagans and Christians duking it out with little love on screen for either made to hard to root for anyone in particular.Eddie Redmayne is a terrific actor though and without his presence in the lead Black Death could almost be accused of just being an exercise in torture porn.
Possibly director Christopher Smith's most dissapointing film to date.
