Review of Black Death (2010) by Austin J — 10 Jun 2011
A grim tale of a young monk trying to find sanctum in plague-era England. This is a very dark and sometimes sluggish film but not enough to drown itself. It's listed as a horror but really more of a drama, the blood and death are dialed back as much as it can be for its main theme of religion and superstition during the time.
