This movie is a complete and utter failure, despite good acting and beautiful design, the story is... idiotic at best. Those are the worst scary cultists I have ever seen. I mean seriously "just go into this hut where the woman you love is drugged up acting like she's possessed by a demon with damage to its cerebellum, that'll tempt you" you fail at temptation, oh and the hut is filled with knives... because sending your potential enemy into a hut filled with knives is a REALLY good idea, and then the ending "I like to think he still saw beauty in the world" no, no he didn't, he spent the rest of his life burning women alive... GODDAMNIT.
This is not moral ambiguity, this is failed screenwriting.
