Review of Black Christmas (2006) by Joey L — 22 Dec 2008

Not even a tenth of what the first one was, but somehow, I kind of enjoyed it. It really had no story and killed everything that was great about the original, but it had the same appeal as something like "Silent Night, Deadly Night", or "Happy Birthday To Me", only it looked cleaner. It also had some crafty camera work..It was over done and shitty, but almost interesting to watch at some points.

It was stupid college kids getting killed by stupid psychopaths, which is something that I like to get behind. While the original was an achievement, I think that this one was just made in the wrong decade. I honestly feel that I it was done between 1980 and 1984, under a different name, it would be along associated with some of the cult classics we horror fans know and love today.
