Review of Black Christmas (2006) by Thomas M — 17 Apr 2012
Black Christmas, derived from the 1974 original, is about a deranged lunatic who escapes from a mental asylum and returns to the scene of his grisly crimes. His former home, where he murdered and cannibalized his family on Christmas, is now housing for a college sorority.
Naturally, these circumstances lead to gorey results for the nubile teenagers who reside in the building. The 2000's saw a slew of crummy horror remakes, but I found myself entertained by the holiday-themed schlock in Black Christmas.
It doesn't really do anything unheard of in slasher movies, but if you're amused by the concept of a guy getting impaled by a Christmas tree then here's your picture.
