In yet another hopelessly cliched sequal to a classic horror film, Black Christmas, Glen Morgan has made the first outright bomb of his career. The man worked wonders with Space: Above and Beyond, X-files and Millennium episodes, he has a few minor near-classics with Boys Next Door and the First Final Destination. Even his lesser films up until now had a few moments that made them watchable. But with this sorry little excuse for 'horror' that has a group of dull cliche sorority sisters and their denmother being stalked by a killer on Christmas is just not good in any way and is a downright mockery of a classic. If you listen real closely you can hear the legendary Bob Clark spinning in his grave at this debackle. The charecters are painted in such broad uncharismatic strokes that it's hard to care for any of them. The new backstory is horrible. And all in all it's just an incredably sub-par film. It didn't help matters that the Weinstein brothers clueless idiots that they are chose to release this on Christmas holiday where it quite resonably bombed horribly bad. (Of couse the brothers, never learning anything, choose to release Grindhouse the following Easter weekend with pretty much the same results).

Eye Candy: Karin Konoval got topless; Crystal Lowe shows all (however the former isn't hot and you can see the latter nude in better films).

My Grade: D.
