Review of Black Butterfly (2017) by Jamie C — 28 Jul 2017

Black Butterfly offers riveting thrills and unique twists as well as fine performances from Antonio Banderas and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Though, the choppy editing made this film difficult to follow at certain points which is such a shame.

I really enjoyed the premise of the film which followed a writer that offers a stranger a place to stay, but things eventually went bad. Towards the end of the film it seemed as if there would actually be a satisfying ending, but adding more to a film is not always the solution.

The ridiculous ending along with the choppy editing overshadows the great plot and performances. All in all, this film was certainly interesting despite its flaws.
