Review of Black Book (2006) by Anne F — 20 Feb 2009
I've read lots of criticism of this film, but really enjoyed it - after a slow start I found it very exciting. A Dutch Jew becomes involved with the Resistance and the SS in WW2. I liked the portrayal of everyone as a mixture of good and bad, and thought the fact that one didn't know who was good and bad added to the authenticity of the characters.
(spoiler alert - I wasn't happy about the insulin you-know-what though!!).
