Review of Black Book (2006) by Arpan M — 24 Nov 2010
An interesting story set in Germany during WW2, following a Jewish actress. 2hrs and a half - too long in my opinion. Subtitles for that long - not fun, it took the first hour to set the character up. A lot of these scenes are forgettable because they are never referred to again later, apart form the good scene where she is singing with the Germans about killing the Jews, then runs to be sick.
Good acting, but not very likeable main character. A couple of not-needed nudity scenes and a couple of violent ones that were hard to watch. I didn't enjoy it very much, although it was interesting in terms of it's context.
