Black Beauty was one of my favorite films growing up. I also think it's very underrated and overlooked. It has a beautiful narration by actor Alan Cumming and it has amazing depth to it. It shows how this ONE horse affects the lives of the various owners he has over his life span.
It's touching, dramatic, powerful, and filled with emotion. It stays true to it's source material while adding something new. I love this movie and if anything.. this is what WAR HORSE should have been.
Black Beauty is one of those films I MUST try to re-watch, if anything buy on DVD when I get the chance.
