Rani's acting was terrible. And thats one of the reasons I hated it. The young girl was brilliant though. As was Amartya Sen's daughter (i think its Nandini)... Oh, and another reason I hated it, is that its a remake.
Theres only one remake that I actually liked, and thats Oceans 11.
