Review of Biutiful (2010) by Adan M — 11 Jun 2011
I've liked all of Alejandro González Iñárritu films (Amores Perros, 21 Grams, and Babel), but this film is different from those films. All those films were similar as they told different stories that all connected at the end, even though they didn't appear to at all.
This foreign film is different as it's much more of a straightforward film, but it's very well-written, directed, and edited. Javier Bardem gives a great performance in this as well. The plot is very good and sad at the same time; it also takes a lot of twists and turns that I didn't really see coming.
Overall a great film and it's good to see the director not just do the same thing again and I look forward to his next one.
