It was hard to stay with this film, as it is relentlessly depressing, except that Bardem is so compelling that he made me stay focused and alert. And how glad I am for that, because ... like Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolff? .
.. another relentlessly depressing, albeit sometimes funny, movie , if you missed the last 10 minutes, you missed the whole point of the film. And Bardem is beyond praise for a portrayal so vivid, so deep and soul searing it demands a second viewing, just to watch his master class in acting.
