It's hard to recommend this thing. So depraved and brain-staining but -- at the same time -- a brilliant dissection of every man's grimiest fantasy played out to a hellishly realistic Nth degree.
My only argument is that someone gets away with something at the ending that they shouldn't have (and the film has its cake and eats it too). This isn't minor Polanski by any means.
