Review of Birth (2004) by Eoin H — 06 Oct 2008
A high concept film to be sure, but one that grips and enchants.
The premise is interesting and the little boy at the heart of this film is simply unbelievable. His poise and stillness make a mockery of those who surround him including a near ridiculous Kidman. Her melodramatic acting here (particularly the very end, oh dear) is at odds with quite a fine fantasy thriller.
