Review of Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance) (2014) by Loler13Gr — 28 Jan 2015
I regret every single euro I gave to watch that movie. The only good things about it was the directing and some of the performances. Other than that the plot is really boring and did not keep me interested , only the main character has any development , the camera that follows the actors around is interesting at the beginning but gets tiring after a while and the drum effect also get annoying.
IMDb claims this movie is a comedy/drama which makes things even worse since the comedic parts are really awkward and do not fit in the movie at all. Finally I was really disappointed with the ending since the movie could have finished 10 minutes earlier during the final act of the play which may not seem a lot but it would really make a difference.
The only enjoyable thing other than the pop-corn was the confrontation scene between Keaton and the play critic. I would suggest watching it only so you can form your own opinion about it.
