If film fans believe the Shawshank Redemption is the best film they have ever encountered I would advice them to see a picture directed beautifully by John Frankenheimer. I was so moved and so touched with the performance by Burt Lancaster, how a man who had deep hatred through the acts of murder and through time transformed himself into a leader, a healer and an inventor.

There are many great scenes to choose from. the realtionship with the sparrow had poetry one flies away and another bird to train and take care of.
