Review of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991) by Austin V — 26 Apr 2013

I've softened to this one a bit over the years. It's a slipshod sequel that loses the phone booth + time-traveling theme of the classic original and brings the series' lowest point in the form of a pair of goofy aliens.

But there's a lot to love, too - helped immensely by the addition of William Sadler as the Grim Reaper, a true highlight and probably the most outrageously fun character in the either film. And when the credits cap off with a triumphant closing number of "God Gave Rock N Roll To You", well, it's hard to hold a grudge.
