Review of Big Trouble in Little China (1986) by Edward B — 30 May 2010
Kurt Russell directed by John Carpenter. It's always going to be good. The best feature of this film is the decision to make Jack Burton a bit fucking crap; he knocks himself out, he runs around with lipstick on and he misses the bad guy with a knife throw.
Russell somehow manages to walk the tight rope of having an error-prone cheesy hero who is still fucking cool. I guess it's all in the reflexes.
