Review of Big Trouble in Little China (1986) by Nate A — 03 Sep 2011
The premise for this is so silly and over-the-top that it's impossible not to like it at least a little. Kurt Russel is in fine form as he does his best John Wayne impression.
Despite the colorful characters and setting, the plot is fairly meandering. Not a whole lot of logical progression or flow to the pacing compared with something similar (like Indiana Jones). And why set up the opening if you aren't going to have it pay off?
Dumb, but fun.
