Review of Big Trouble in Little China (1986) by Patryk G — 20 Oct 2012
A near perfect mix of camp, cheese, chop-socky, from Carpenter, John. The pace is faatastic, action set piece after action set piece with a awesome array of monsters and villain for non-stop escapist entertainment.
Kurt Russell is in top form, as the main character but also the comic relief, which makes for a fresh role reversal when his sidekick does most of the fighting. An awesome cult classic, pure pulpy cinematic magic.
