Review of Big Trouble in Little China (1986) by Ash D — 05 Jun 2012
This film is another of those guilty pleasures. It is, first of all, terrible, but it is also confusing and racially insensitive. It's a little big sexist, and feels like it was written by two 12 year olds who stayed up all night just to do it.
But, Kurt Russell delivers on a decent John Wayne expression, and the ending is fantastic. Not too mention the exploding guy, and the mid-air sword battle. Three stars, and my personal opinion that it might just be the greatest film ever made.
