Review of Big Fish (2003) by Hari A — 17 Jul 2012
Tim Burton brings to life dreams in this magnificient movie about story telling and dreaming. Ed Bloom has always told his son Will Bloom extravagant stories about his life. However, when Will looks for his father's real story , he is dissapointed at the fact that his father whole heartedly bellieves every myth that he has told. A wonderfully woven movie comprising of many small tales, each better than the last one. But, the dream world and the real world remains a mystery, which adds to the movie's splendour.
Narration is reminiscent of Forrest Gump. The ending is one of the best endings in a movie. Wondeful acting and a wonderful story. Only Tim Burton can come up with magic like this.
