Review of Big Fish (2003) by Allison H — 13 May 2013
Big Fish was one of Tim Burton's better movies. William Bloom is mad at his father, Edward Bloom. His dad loves to tell stories about his youth, except none of them seemed true. Stories of Giants named Karl, Circus people, wandering poets, Siamese Twins from China, bank robberies, a witch, and a big fish.
William wants to meet the real man behind all the stories. But when Edward is suffering with cancer, William comes face to face with the man, both the real one and the legend. The acting was great and the fantasy kept you on your toes.
All in all a great movie filled with comedy, romance and fantasy.
