Review of Big Fish (2003) by Steve D — 15 Jun 2014
Hard to believe this was directed by Tim Burton. His films usually contain a dark, gothic, macrabe theme that is visually creative.. A Burton theme film will mostly have Johnny Depp in the film. However Big Fish has Neither of those things that makes a Burton-esque film.
. Actually thats probably the the scary thing Tim Burton tries to do in Big Fish. It's scary because there is no Tim Burton style in this movie that we normally see in his other works. However, this movie is still enjoyable, and still quite imaginative.
This movie kind of has the idea of a telling a Tall-tale to it. In the end, Big Fish is a charming film with lots of heart, which can be found in a Tim Burton movie, but this time it's done so differently.
However, this movie is a fun time through the whole run time, from beginning to end.
