Review of Big Fat Liar (2002) by Caz H — 19 Jul 2011
"Big Fat Liar" a film deemed for kids only due to it's cartoon-style slapstick, kid friendly stars Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes. Overall, most would agree. I was young when the film was released and I fell in love with it.
I didn't see it in the theater, but a Nickelodeon magazine talked about the film and it seemed interesting so I shoved out $20 to get it on VHS when it finally came out. Loved it. But as the years passed, films like this and Max Keeble's Big Move and Snow Day, they are films that if you watch them young, you don't grow out of them.
Likewise, if you're a young adult, you won't be attracted to movie in the first place, so you will give it a chance and if the time comes when you finally do, you won't enjoy it anyway, because you're to mature for it.
But I watched it as a young age, and it stuck to my heart and it withstood the obstacles of time. I'm a young adult now, and I can say I love this film. It's a movie I can still put into my VHS, after all these years, watch it, enjoy it and move on with a good feeling inside.
I guess it's only for those who were there when it came out, and was also young enough to enjoy it charm.
