Kudos for art direction. Amy Adams is lovely and gives an intelligent performance in a role that was problematic. Christoph Waltz is a talented dynamo who is, unfortunately, glaringly mis-cast in his role.
When the denouement pivots off an encounter with door-to-door Seventh Day Adventists, you know you are dealing with crazy people.
