Tom Hanks takes Big's script, filled with naive characters and absurdly convenient plot devices, and hones in on its overall charm, humour and warmth. Undeniably one his best, Hanks' performance even allows you to forget the horror of a 13 year old sleeping with a much older Elizabeth Perkins.
