Review of Big (1988) by David L — 17 Apr 2015
The middle of the film is weak with a lot of naive as well as illogical or too cheesy scenes typical of the time, but Big has superb beginning, incredibly offbeat premise, charming Tom Hanks in the central role and some wonderful themes of childhood and adulthood.
It also has very beautiful and such a satisfying conclusion and although it at times may seem like typical 80s family film, it is all around a well acted, well crafted and entirely effervescent little film that can satisfy people of all ages.
