Review of Big (1988) by Yousef S — 27 Mar 2011
I remember watching this film so many times as a kid and loving every minute of it. Tom Hanks' portrayal of a 13 year old boy trapped in a 30 year old's body certainly spoke to me well. When he tried living in a grown up world, yet still miss being just a kid. I understood when I was a kid I wanted to go on the big rides and stay up late, yet now I know it's best to enjoy life as a kid when you're still young.
I loved hearing Howard Shore's score to the film as it made me feel I was watching it all over again. Each song to a scene is memorized in my head and I remember such warm feelings every time a track progresses.
Love the story, love the characters, love the music, and love the cast. God bless you all for making this film so enjoyable.
