Review of Bicentennial Man (1999) by Patrick G — 24 Jan 2011
A feel-good movie about a created being who gains enough self-awareness to want to become like his creators. The same sort of question we've entertained with Pinocchio and Mr. Data of Star Trek. Done in a family context, the story and the f/x are well done for 1999 and we wonder how well such speculation would really work if it actually happened.
Not outstanding, but a good watch.
