Review of Bicentennial Man (1999) by George E — 17 Jan 2010
I can really see why the critics hated it. This film was awfully structured and it was sometimes dumb. It would've been a much better film if it was more about Portia and Andrew. I just hated how this film skipped years so much. Also, the most stupidest thing about it is how they made Portia look like her grandma. That's unbelievable!
Here's how the film should've been like: Portia (in 2150s or whatever) gets herself a robot. She marries, but she finds herself close to it. As she gets older, she begins to love it. And the robot is made human. That would've been a much better story.
