Review of Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970) by Kevin D — 02 Mar 2010
This movie is the definition of the phrase "what the fuck?" anybody who has seen it has accomplished something extraordinary and spiritual. it is like doing acid, but doing ten trillion hits of it and going to a carnival, while having some poisonous, AIDS-ridden soup poured on you, and being able to live to tell about it.
there's chicks with big knockers, they are in a band, they do drugs, they become famous, they lose their innocence, they become less famous or something, actually they probably just get more famous, they deal with stuck-up old men, they cheat on their men, they hang out with an awesome hermaphrodite psycho named z-man, they (almost all) escape death, and then live to tell about it.
Russ Meyer's magnum opus, better than "faster pussycat" I think and better than "supervixens." in fact, it is probably better than any movie you will ever see, ever. this movie beats the bitch so hard the next time you see your sister she will have bruises on her eye and you'll be all like "yo! what the FUCK happened to you?" and she'll be all like "They went.
.. BEYOND the Valley of the Dolls!" and you will know what she's talking about.
