After reading some great things about the film and its breakout star Gugu Mbatha-Raw, I decided to watch the movie with moderate expectations. And so, the movie really surpassed them and proved to be a very strong statement on today's music industry and mainly on females career, but it also had a very beautiful love story at the center of it all. It was actually a very entertaining and touching movie, that thanks to its lead performances by Gugu and Nate Parker, they really brought to life the characters and made them real human beings.
