Review of Beverly Hills Cop (1984) by Jessell S — 30 Dec 2010

So this was what Eddie Murphy was doing before he played a fast-talking but loveable donkey; he was playing a fast-talking but loveable cop. This is arguably his best role in a marvellous 80s classic, set to a great synthesizer score with some wisecracking dialogue and hilarious action scenes, particularly the gun battle at the end, where Taggart has a bit of trouble climbing over a fence.

Entertaining stuff.
