Review of Better Than Chocolate (2011) by Mari R — 31 Oct 2008
This movie leaves you with a good feeling. The story is nice and the characters break stereotypes and seem more like real personas than romantic comedy characters usually do. This movie made me laugh and was even very touching every now and then. Especially Francis and Judith were somehow very moving characters.
If something, I would have left the rough discrimination and violence scenes out of this. They don't really fit the genre. They were clearly made to shock and make an impact, but I don't think that any gay-haters who would need that influence will watch this movie so the point is kind of lost...
