Review of Better Living Through Chemistry (2014) by Kimberly P — 30 Mar 2014
Brow beaten husband and smalltown pharmacist Doug Varney embarks on an affair with the pill popping trophy wife of a local millionaire. With her help and the help of some skimmed pharmaceuticals, Doug begins to transform his life . and make a somebody out of himself.
It's a Smalltown America black comedy and there isn't much, if anything, new here. Rockwell does what he can with this tepid script and barely saves it. A rehash of old ideas it may be, but I would be lying if I said I didn't have fun.
