Review of Best Worst Movie (2009) by Brandon R — 20 Feb 2011

This made a lot of "best of" lists, but I honestly don't see it. I'm a huge fan of the laughably bad "Troll 2", but was disappointed by this documentary, which explores the cult phenomenon surrounding that film.

It ran out of steam about forty minutes in, and the other fifty minutes ended up feeling very thinly stretched. Yes, this film was genuinely touching in some places but I eventually found myself bored with scene after scene of people trying to cash in on their involvement with "the worst film ever made", a moniker I happen to disagree with.

Honestly, I found a repeat viewing of "Troll 2" to be a much more rewarding experience.
