Review of Best of the Best 2 (1993) by Axe A — 29 May 2007
Great follow up to the original. Having gone as far as they could with the martial arts competition concept in the first film, we are successfully transitioned into the outside lives of many of the original characters.
Eric Roberts and Philip Rhee have a remarkable onscreen chemistry that I am surprised was not banked on further. A bit more B-Movie cheese than the first, but not enough to hinder it greatly. Spot-on performance by Wayne Newton.
If you loved, or even liked, the first, you will greatly enjoy the second.
