I was surprised that I actually enjoyed this film. I was expecting pure B-movie cheese, which this movie does have, but it really benefits from taking itself completely seriously. It`s a sports film, rather than a straight forward beat-em-up.
And it sort of felt like Karate Kid, only not nearly as good. Not bad for 1989.
