Quite possibly the most accurate portrayal of regional culture in film history. Let me explain- Logically, and I guess philosophically, the accuracy of the portrayal is something only the individual or group being depicted can assess, and I've been living in Texas for over 25 yrs., have lived in it's 2 largest cities, in surburbs of those cities, and I spend a lot of time in some of it's smallest towns.

Maybe I won't be able to convince anyone due to the inherent bias implied by my qualifications listed above, but this is a must see. Those who enjoy even and steady chuckles will appreciate the quirky and ironic ways of all of the characters, as well as the paced yet moronic lead of Jack Black. If nothing else it's a great way to get a feel for East Texas without having to visit.
