Review of Berberian Sound Studio (2012) by Erik A — 27 Nov 2013
More affecting and frightening than the 70's horror films it celebrates, this film heralds the unsung hero of Argento and Fulci- the sounds. The creation of those sounds is ingenious and graphic, without ever seeing the violence they're sound tracking.
It's creepy and inventive, if somewhat unsatisfying in its ambiguity by the end.
